Happy New Year !

NEW YEAR!..... NEW GOVERNMENT….and NEW OPPROTUNITIES!


After many months of fear and apprehension about the Nicaraguan presidential elections, and the possible return of Daniel Ortega, it has all become a bit anticlimactic now. The overall mood of the people in the country both Nicaraguan and foreigners, is a bit of wait and see and at the same time very up beat and positive.

Since the election victory by Mr. Ortega this past November, there has been many examples of continuing and new investment by both foreign and local nationals. Taiwan has pledged to invest as much as $200 million in tax-free textile manufacturing. The Pellas Group, the largest private investment group in the country is starting construction of a multimillion-residential/tourist project just south of Iguana, which will include a 5 star hotel and a marina. ProCredit, a German bank is also coming to Nicaragua this year and plans to open several branches throughout the country.

It appears that a new paved road from Tola to the major developments, Guacalito, Hacienda Iguana and Rancho Santana will become a reality in the very near future. Construction is to begin this month and is the result of close collaboration between the Pellas Group and the local municipal government.

Here in Iguana we are moving forward with all of our planned projects. We have started construction on the new Villas Rio Dulce condos, Villas Las Colinas town homes and the new Plaza del Pozo commercial center. The 9-hole golf course has been completed and we are now in the process of finishing the golf club house. Ulrik will be doing a blogg very soon with all the golf details.

We also have several new homes under construction as well as our continuing improvements of the infrastructure. Enitel, one of the major telephone and wireless internet providers is going to construct a 40 meter tower inside Iguana within the next 9 months which will enable us to offer cell phone and internet service throughout the development.

Finally, our property sales since the election have been increasing at a steady rate and prices are on the rise!!! Both turn-key and lots are increasing in value and we are looking forward to a very strong 2007 in Hacienda Iguana. Easter Sales Update



Hello Everyone!

This is my very first “Blogg” since joining the Hacienda Iguana Sales Staff. Believe me, we have a lot to Blogg about!! We are now finalizing the plans for 4 new projects that will begin construction within this calendar year. In addition to that, we are days away from releasing Phase 3 of the golf course lots, 60 in all.

We have sold out building #1 in “ Villas Rio Dulce,”our new beachfront condos and half of building #2 as well. There are some 2 and 3 bedroom units and 2 penthouses still available. Construction of the building pad started last week.

Our new commercial center “ Plaza de Pozo” will offer retail modules, hotel suites, supermarket, restaurant, bar, and internet café. We will also have our new sales & administration offices located in the commercial center.

Located on the hills with spectacular views of two fareways and lakes, we are now selling our new town homes, “Villas Las Colinas”. There are only 6 units, one of which is already sold. Each unit will have a swimming pool, golf cart and a membership to the Golf & Beach Club and an area of 1870 sq. ft.

For those of you that missed out on our first beachfront condos; we are going to offer the same number and size of units in our new golf course condo project ”Residencias de Golf.” There will be 20 units consisting of 2 and 3 bedroom units at very attractive prices.

We are also finalizing the structure of the Golf & Beach Club memberships. I know that many of our current property owners have been waiting to receive your “Share” to the club. I will be contacting each of you very soon about the memberships.
