Legend of Ponga Drops Surf Break
Some Visiting Colombians rented a ponga from Gigante and surf the local breaks. On one of the biggest swells of the year their ponga driver anchored the boat too close to the break. It got caught inside and went over the falls. When surf is huge like on that day the wave breaking looks very much like a waterfall. The ponga hung in the break for several days till they could salvage it.
